Jon Jackson overview of the Shroud of Jesus

Harold Cohen interviews Jon Jackson he Hungary Prayer Manuscript of 1192 illustrates what can only be the Shroud of Turin, predating the earliest possible date of manufacture calculated by the AMS Carbon 14 testing. All of what I have explained above can be found in the voluminous scientific and popular literature on the shroud of Turin. At this point, I would like to offer a different paradigm for assessing the accuracy of the 14th century date and the resulting claim that the shroud is the work of a 14th century forger. Again, this article is not addressing the issue of whether or not the Shroud of Turin was the burial cloth of Jesus of Nazareth and its value as a “relic” of Christianity. It addresses only whether the shroud is a genuine archaeological artifact of a 1st century crucifixion. This paradigm assumes that the radiocarbonists’ claim that the Shroud of Turin is a 14th century forgery is correct. It is based on what that conclusion tells us about the forger. It tells us that: 1. The forger first painted the bloodstains before he painted the image. 2. The forger integrated forensic qualities to his image that would only be known 20th century science. 3. The forger duplicated blood flow patterns in perfect forensic agreement to blood flow from the wrists at 65° from vertical to suggest the exact crucifixion position of the arms. 4. The forger “painted” the blood flows with genuine group AB blood that he had “spiked” with excessive amounts of bilirubin since the

and if you are going to criticize belief systems, remember that your own is not immune.

if you are an atheist, then you do not believe in anything beyond the physical world (metaphysics).
but if you don’t believe in metaphysics, where does TRUTH exist?
You do believe that it exists, don’t you?
You do believe that one truth is connected to another, and that it all makes up Truth with a capital “T”, don’t you?

It seems obvious there is a reality independent of my own ideology. I may lack the language or philosophical insight to define it for you but unfortunately that dose nothing to strengthen your case – you have to answer the same question too.
P.S. tagging the word God to something dose not mean you have explained anything or that god manifests iself in any other way.
i.e. if you choose to rename Truth as God, you have not proven god to be infinite or personal, let alone that maniac, Yahweh.

If atheists cannot account for Truth with a capital “T”, then their belief system is excremental beyond WORDS.

Moreover, atheists love to say that since their is no God, there is no meaning to the world.
But their position is MUCH worse than that.
If there is no metaphysics, then TRUTH does not exist. As such you cannot even say that the world is “meaningless”, since you obviously believe that to be TRUE.

Your position is so utterly SHITTY, that you undercut your own “foundation”

compared to the atheist outlook, and the complete inability to account for the basic concept of “truth”, talking snakes are sublime.

and compared to talking snakes, guys like CS Lewis and Isaac Newton downright shed light on the DIVINE.

“Funny how biblical literalists are always the Atheists best friend”
Oh I see, it’s not LITERALLY true … hmm … so what was all that about having Truth you where so proud of just then?

    “Grow a pair”
You are quite easily emotionally influenced aren’t you.

“Grow a brain too, because its heavy stuff”
Notice I have not stooped to personal attacks.
Who knows more about loving thy neighbour, you or me?

So have all the fun you want at the biblical literalists (hell, they deserve it).
    But REMEMBER:

REAL christianity is something much more intellectually stimulating. Read Aquinas, Anselm, Boyle, Newton, etc etc etc.
Forget the people who brew moonshine.

And also remember, even literalists have a better worldview than atheists.
After all, at least they have a fucking ANSWER for: “where does TRUTH lie”.

  7. MaxSafeheaD Says:

“The pathetic truth is that Atheists simply cannot account for the existence of TRUTH”
lol, if that makes sense to you it’s understandable why you’d revel in tales of magic, miracles and ghosts.

    MaxSafehead.

Its obvious that you are only here to give your bullshit opinion and make snide remarks in the back of class.

You don’t actually have a fucking ANSWER for my points, do you?
    Of course not.

You have not stooped to personal attacks?
    Spare me your hypocritical bullshit.
    I can call a spade a spade.

You have nothing to offer but snide remarks masquerading as some kind of position. Tough shit if you don’t like my vocab.

My religion doesn’t entail kissing your ass.

But if you don’t believe in anything beyond the physical realm, then where does Truth actually lie??

it can’t be on the corner of 5th and Maynard, because Truth isn’t PHYSICAL.
The pathetic truth is that Atheists simply cannot account for the existence of TRUTH.
If they cannot find it on the map, or on the street corner, then they cannot find it PERIOD.

Even Aztecs had an idea where TRUTH was. (in some realm where the bloodthirsty gods were born).
